MC Shine Mold Remediation Service

The discovery of mold in your home or business can be stressful, but we are here to help you take your space back!

Time is of the essence when it comes to protecting your home and avoiding secondary damage. There is no need to wait until Monday or wait until the morning. We have First Responders on call 24/7/365!

MC Shine Mold Remediation:
What to Expect

A First Responder will assess the damage to your home or business. They will identify and assess affected areas. They will also take information from you, photos of the area, and discuss the scope of services.
The First Responder will give a general idea of the project’s scope. They will discuss any potential concerns. The information gathered will be used to create an estimate for your services. The estimate will be completed within 24 hours of the inspection. This will be sent to you by email, with a phone call to follow up after you have had the chance to review it.

There will be documentation for you to sign to authorize services to begin.

When you are ready to schedule services, our scheduling department will contact you and schedule the services at your convenience. They will also collect a deposit for services, which is 50% of the initial estimate. The remainder will be due after services. In the event that your insurance policy covers this, we will not require a deposit.

If you are going to make an insurance claim, you are responsible for contacting your insurance company and initiating the claim. You can tell them you hired MC Shine and give them our contact information. You must also provide your adjuster’s name, phone, and email and give that to the First Responder or Sales Manager. You will not be alone; our account coordinators and First Responders will be with you every step of the way.

MC Shine Mold Remediation:
Our Services

Services include but are not limited to:

Thick plastic barriers will contain any air particles and odors in one area.
  • An Air Scrubber will be placed in the containment area, and this will filter the air to remove particulates. This will also assist in creating a hostile air environment to prevent contaminants from entering other areas of your home or business.
  • A Dehumidifier may be used in the area if excess moisture is detected. We will control the environment while completing services. We may recommend purchasing a dehumidifier for the area for future use.
In the event that there is a large amount of content in the affected area, those items will be documented, packed with care, and removed from the area. This is very common in kitchens. The contents can be left at your home or business or stored at our secure facility while services are being rendered.
  • The building’s structure will be cleaned from top to bottom, including walls, ceilings, and floors. They will be HEPA-vacuumed to remove debris.
  • Several different products can be used to effectively remediate mold. The type used for your services will be completely based upon the specifics of the need. The product will be applied to the area and allowed to dwell based on the manufacturer’s guidelines, and the process will be repeated as necessary.
  • Depending on the circumstances, we may recommend the removal of building materials such as drywall, flooring, cabinetry, etc.
  • We will schedule services to be completed; depending on the size of the damage, this can typically take several days to several weeks.
  • Content may need to be cleaned as well, this can include anything in your home that is not secured to the structure itself. Examples are dishes, furniture, keepsakes, etc.
  • Content can sometimes be cleaned at your home or business, and some may need to be taken site to our facility. This process will be discussed to determine the best course of action.
  • Content will be returned to the original placement at the completion of services.
  • Depending on the circumstances, we may recommend the disposal of content that does not hold significant value.
When cleaning services have been completed, any content that was removed will be put back in its original place, if possible, as it was “pre-loss.”
All equipment will be removed from the home or business when the services are completed.
  • Once services are completed, the invoice will be created using industry-standard pricing.
  • The invoice and supporting documentation will be submitted to your insurance company on your behalf if you are making a claim.
  • You may also pay for the services privately. Invoices are due upon receipt.
